Discover 40 years of DENIOS
For 40 years, we have set safety milestones, from the first spill-containment pallet prototype to connected safety solutions. The key stages of this journey show how a product provider became DENIOS’s safety authority. And why today we think of safety as Vision Zero: a world without harm to people or the environment.
1986 – Ground zero: the spill containment pallet
Helmut Dennig founded P & D Systemtechnik and developed the first steel drip tray – the starting point for corporate environmental protection and safety "made in East Westphalia".
1987 – Bad Oeynhausen becomes home
The young company moves from Porta Westfalica to Bad Oeynhausen. Larger halls enable series production, initial room systems and professional growth – this is where today's DENIOS Campus is being built.
1990 – We go into the world
With the first location in Louisville, KY, DENIOS starts its internationalization – step by step, an East Westphalian engineering office becomes a globally active group of companies.
1999 – P & D becomes DENIOS AG
The change of name to DENIOS AG marks the next leap in development: from a specialist in drip trays to a comprehensive provider of hazardous materials storage, environmental protection and occupational safety
2007 – More room for innovation
A modern administrative complex is built in Bad Oeynhausen, the production halls are expanded – the headquarters grows into an innovation location and anchor for global expansion.
2019 – The new DENIOS Academy
The new Denios Academy opens its doors: Practical knowledge on hazardous substances management, environmental protection and operational safety is bundled in seminars, webinars and training courses – with many thousands of participants per year.
2021 – DENIOS SE – positioned throughout Europe
DENIOS AG becomes DENIOS SE. The European legal form underlines the international orientation – with six production sites and sales offices in 23 countries in Europe, America and Asia.
2022 – The POWER SAFE is launched
With the POWER SAFE, DENIOS presents another innovative new development: For the first time, a high-performance battery storage system is combined with a fire protection room system – a unique solution on the market and an important building block for the energy transition.
2024 – Sales reach the 300 million euro mark
For the first time in the company's history, DENIOS exceeds the 300 million euro mark in sales. The growth underlines the company's strong international positioning as well as the increasing importance of innovative solutions for hazardous materials storage, environmental protection and energy management.

On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, DENIOS bundles its experience in the DENIOS Vision Zero: a world without damage to people and the environment – safety as an attitude, system and clear promise for the future.

In the DENIOS Blue Campus and in interdisciplinary teams, new safety solutions are being developed – from networked leakage warning systems such as SpillGuard® connect to the IoT platform DENIOS connect for real-time monitoring of hazardous goods warehouses.
