In line with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, we implement concrete measures to make our website accessible.
This statement applies to the website www.denios.us and all its subpages.
On this page, we inform you about our accessibility goals, the current status, and your options for providing feedback.
Accessibility Statement
DENIOS is committed to making its digital offerings accessible to everyone. This accessibility statement applies to our website pursuant to the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1/2.2.
Current Level of Compliance
Our website is partially conformant with the requirements of WCAG 2.1 Level AA (and we are actively working towards WCAG 2.2 compliance).
The following areas are not yet fully accessible:
Not all electronic documents (such as PDFs) are barrier-free, especially older documents.
Certain interactive elements are not yet fully accessible.
Some alternative texts do not yet have fully descriptive titles.
We are continuously working to identify and remove remaining barriers. The last evaluation was conducted through a self-assessment in June 2025. An external audit is not currently planned. For our self-assessment, we use the IBM Equal Access Accessibility Checker (tested against WCAG 2.2).
Measures to Ensure Accessibility
To meet legal requirements, we implement the following measures:
Clear content and navigation structure
Full keyboard operability and focus management
Alternative texts for images and media
Sufficient color contrast
Avoidance of barriers such as uncontrolled moving content
ARIA labels and landmarks added
Keyboard-accessible pop-ups and modals
These measures are regularly reviewed and updated.
Goals and Importance of Accessibility
Accessibility is a key component of DENIOS’s digital responsibility. Our goal is to enable equal access to information, products, and services for all people, regardless of physical, sensory, or cognitive limitations.
By doing so, we promote inclusion, usability, and digital participation.
